The Magnetic Field Meter 1000 (MFM 1000) is designed to
measure and record the magnetic field emitted by a Visual
Display Unit (VDU). As the resolution and refresh rates of
new types of VDU’s increase, the magnetic field produced
increases as well. This has led to demands that the magnetic
field should be kept to a minimum. However, modifying the
VDU to minimize the magnetic field requires an accurate and
quick means of measuring the field. The MFM 1000 has been
developed specifically for this purpose.
