Professional Stereo Reverberation Unit
Information
This new AKG reverberation system has been improved in many
design aspects but continues on the veil proven and superior
design elements of our well known
BX 20,
Special care has been taken in expanding the sound qualities
and at the same time reducing size and weight of our
previous system.
Our patented Torsional Transmission Line (TTL-System) has
been improved by extending the overall length of the system
by about 25 % in relation to the
BX 20 system and at the
some time reducing the overall size dramatically to about
one-third.
Besides conventional shelving type frequency controls for
the reverberated output signal, we incorporated o high-cut
filter at the input/reverb drive
Amplifier. This feature
will provide the selection between a bright, more aggressive
sound or an alternatively mellower, more natural sound in
reverberation.
Both types of reverberation will be required, depending on
the program material.
The reverb section has been separated from the electronics
and from channel to channel for easy serviceability. Plugin
p.c. boards are used for the electronic circuitry within the
control module. This module may be removed from the main
housing and operated by an optional extension cable up to 10
m (30 ft) away from the reverb section .
The decay time of both channels may be adjusted
independently on the remote control unit, which is included
in the delivery .
Features-
o Genuine two-channel design. Either channel can be used and
control led separate I y .
o Smaller and substantially improved design to well-known
BX 20,
o Improved low sensitivity to structure born vibrations .
o Patented circuitry to avoid any direct (dry' signal at the
reverb output.
o Frequency response may be altered both, at input and
output of reverb section .
o Built-in limiter for reverb drive signal with LED
indication on front panel .
o Input and output level adjustable on the connector panel.
o Remote control of reverb time.
o Switchable to mono drive of both channels.
o No locking or re-adjusting when used in OB-vans or on the
road.
o Built-in protection for shipping, which may be easily
removed upon receipt of unit.
