INTRODUCTION 1-1. The 6080A/AN Synthesized RF Signal Generator (also referred to as the "signal generator") is a fully programmable, precision, synthesized signal generator. The 6080A/AN is designed for applications that require good modulation, frequency accuracy, and output level performance with excellent spectral purity. The signal generator is well suited for testing a wide variety of RF components and systems including filters, amplifiers, mixers, and radios, particularly off-channel radio testing. Specifications of the 6080A/AN are provided at the end of this section.
