Information
A CD WRITE ONCE DISC (CD-R) can be written with the
D740 CD
recorder without additional equipment. The procedure is
similar to conventional recording equipment. Recordings can
be made sequentially. It is also possible to define start
points and skip points during a recording. On completion of
the recording a table of contents (TOC) is created and the
CD-R can subsequently be played on a conventional CD player.
The fields of application are far ranging, be they in audio
production or radio studios. Instead of a tape master
(analog or digital) a CD-R can be produced which can be
played back worldwide without loss of quality and without
requiring adaptation to different standards. This greatly
simplifies the exchange of programs because CD players are
in wide use throughout the world.
