The Type 551 Oscilloscope is a dual-beam, laboratory-type
instrument, well suited to oscilloscope applications
involving fast-rise pulses and transients. Separate, and
identical, vertical amplifiers are provided for each beam.
Plug-in preamplifiers are used in the vertical-deflection
systems, permitting the instrument to be used in many
specialized applications.
