Memory Slots 128 or 256 MB memory modules can be installed in the two memory slots for a maximum of 512 MB system memory. Level 2 cache A 512 KB level 2 cache maximises performance. Video RAM 16 MB of RAM is provided for video display. Power Battery pack The computer is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack(s). A main battery is installed from factory side, and an optional Secondary battery can be installed in the Slim SelectBay. RTC battery The internal RTC battery backs up the Real Time Clock (RTC) and calendar. AC adaptor The universal AC adaptor provides power to the system and recharges the batteries when they are low. It comes with a detachable power cord. Because it is universal, it can receive a range of AC voltage between 100 and 240 volts.

This manual is composed of nine chapters, thirteen appendices, a glossary, and an index. Chapter 1, Introduction, is an overview of the computer’s features, capabilities, utilities and options. Chapter 2, The Grand Tour, identifies the components of the computer and briefly explains how they function. Chapter 3, Getting Started, provides a quick overview of how to begin operating your computer and gives tips on safety and designing your work area. Be sure to read the section on restoring the preinstalled software. Chapter 4, Operating Basics, includes tips on care of the computer and on using the AccuPoint II, Slim Select Bay modules, LAN, microphone and internal Modem. Chapter 5, The Keyboard, describes special keyboard functions including the keypad overlay and hotkeys. Chapter 6, Power and Power-Up Modes, gives details on the computer’s power resources and battery save modes. Chapter 7, HW Setup and Passwords, explains how to configure the computer using the HW Setup program. It also tells how to set passwords. Chapter 8, Optional Devices, describes the optional hardware available.
